How acidic are apples and dried cranberries?I am wanting to try out an alkaline diet, in which I have to severely limit the amount of acidic foods I'm eating, but my favorite things to eat are apples and dried cranberries, how do I find out how much is in them? Thank you

I am so very sorry for triple posting this. I did not notice the alternative medicine section. Please forgive me. My mother has cancer. Started as ovarian, then spread to her brain. now in her liver and lympth nodes too. Lately I have been looking into natural therapies. Things i have considered include: essiac tea MMS - miracle mineral solution - sodium chlorite and distilled water w citric acid apricot kernals chlorella liposomal-encapsulated vitamin c vitamin b 17 iodine and hemp oil. some of these seem very promises. I also will get her on a much more alkaline diet. The problem is her brain swelling. I have read that essiac tea, while being a good cancer treatment, can cause brain swelling. Brain swelling is a big problem for her (she can hardly walk or even stand up sometimes because of it and the steroids they give her don't seem to be working right. QUESTION - which of these things could possibly cause extra brain swelling which needs to be avoided, and are there specific things that can help reduce swelling? Since diet (alkaline) will be part of this, information on foods impact on this would be great. SORRY FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS. If anything crashes upon me then I will deal with it then. Why would I not want to feel the full grief of a devastating loss? What is wrong with that? Until then, we will fight tooth and nail. I don't like negative people. You sound like the type of a person who would take anti-depressants to deal with the death of a family member. I have an intense dislike for such people. Sorry for my rudeness, but that doesn't change the fact that you are being pretty condescending and i don't appreciate that. No con artists are trying to take advantage of us, unless you count the insurance and drug companies. I know for a FACT that more than one of these treatments have CURED people who didn't have much other chance. I want to find out about possible interactions and side effects. We're not going to try something that very well could work, that is not being sold to us by anyone, just because of a majority pessimism. What in Canned Foods, Processed Foods, and Microwaved Foods make them acid forming?
What specific ingredients in these food make them acid forming? I'm trying to have a high alkaline diet and I don't have time nor do I know how to make dinner so I buy Lean Cuisine and sometimes I buy reduced sodium soups. They say they have no preservatives and added vegetables and lemon sauce so I'm wondering if that make them more alkaline?
