About Feingold Diet
What type of bread can I use on the Feingold Diet, and can my son drink 7up occasionally?He's starting the diet today....so can he drink 7up during stage one? Also, I'm confused.....can he have white sandwich bread or whole grain bread....the kind that you buy at the store? If not, then can I make it for him......using the store bought yeast? Maybe I'm nitpicking here......I'm just worried about giving him the wrong thing. IN the book, the recipes call for Pure bread, lol......nothing at the grocery store sounded very pure.

Question about the Feingold Diet and other ADD/ADHD diets...?
To follow The Feingold Diet or most other ADD/ADHD diets should I basically just cut out sugar and eat organic foods adding more veggies and fruits? Am I getting the overall idea? Also how do I know which ADD diet to try? Is The Feingold Diet the best? Please direct me to a website that might help me compare or just give me your feedback. THANKS!!

what kind of allergy test are available?
Is there a allergy test that can be given to my almost three year old to see if he has a salicylate or phenol sensitivity? I am very confused by the information I am receiving online. We have started him on the Feingold diet. Which is supposed to eliminate natural salicylates in its first stage. However some of the foods that Feingold says is okay are listed as "high content" foods on actual salicylate sensitivity website. I do not know what to think. Is there a way I could have him actually tested for it? Thank you so much for your help!!! His 3 year appointment is scheduled for august, but we would like to figure this out as soon as possible.

Has anyone tried the Feingold diet?
I have a very hyperactive 2.5 year old. Anyone who says "all toddlers are hyper, it is normal," have never met a child like my son! For two months he has been off of dairy/casein completely (but he has had no improvement). We notice that after he eats apples he becomes a complete monster! He starts doing this thing were he shakes his head back and forth with wide eyes, he begins running around and jumping like crazy! So we are thinking about his intake of salicylic acids. While researching diets we came across the Feingold diet. It seems to be exactly what we are looking for. But before I spend the money to purchase the information, I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. And what were the results? I know that we could try gluten free, but I because that would be a total lifestyle change for us (and I hear that it is very very expensive), I want to try it last. Thank you so so so much!!! I forgot to mention that sometimes he has really good days were he seems very calm and relaxed, and others are terrible!! Also, he is right on track for his age. He speaks very well (and very fast), he is totally toilet trained, he know his emotions and tells me what he is feeling. He just cannot sit still!!! He loves reading books, but he has to be moving his legs or bouncing up and down! He will follow rules on his good days, but he is absolutely uncontrollable on his "bad" days. If you have any other suggestions, or other methods of dealing with this type of behavior - please let me know!

Can a 11 yr old ADHD child with Auditory/Memory/Working Processing problems get disability?
I hear about it. My child has had problems since first grade. Her last IEP states that she is over a year behind. We already exhausted other interventions. She makes progress, but as she gets older, the gap is the same. She will be attending a special day class for the next year. I am going to try the Feingold Diet soon. But, I want to know if she is eligible for some type of state disability benefits or social security benefits. She has been treated for ADHD for 2 years now and she has a Audiotry/Working Memory Processing Problems.
