About Gluten Free Diet

Gluten free lunch ideas..PLEASE HELP!!?
I am babysitting my little brother today who has Celiacs disease so he cant have anything containing gluten. I am planning on feeding him hot dogs for lunch, but i don't know what he can eat with it as a side dish. If you could give me any ideas at all, it would be much appreciated. He is eight years old and was recently put on the gluten free diet - so we're up for trying new things. Keep in mind - lunch is in 1 hour and i have to plan for 3 days. So it has to be somewhat convenient/easy to make. Please and thank you so much!!

MMA/fighter/martial artist gluten free diet?
I'm 17 years old and I'm currently a second degree brown belt in karate. I want to start doing other martial arts like MMA, Kung Fu, and one or two others. However, I don't have the greatest stamina. And I know it's because of my weight. Granted everyone thinks I'm a stick because I'm 6'4" and only way 190, but still I have the weight around my middle even if it isn't noticeable. It's really frustrating. But here's the tricky part, I'm gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant which makes everything 10 times harder. I never feel full unless I eat way too much. And I really don't have a good idea of how to proportion out the food. I haven't been able to find any diets tailored towards someone with my food allergies, so if anyone can send me an article or give me any advice on how to get full with less and healthier food to help me reach my goal of being fit and have enough stamina to fight lots of rounds without getting ridiculously tired, it would be very much appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!

How does gluten affect hunger and weight in children?
My eight year old son has been dealing with abdominal discomfort/pain for over a year and a half. He tested negative for celiac and his colonoscopy did not indicate inflammation. They did find an ulcer which has since healed (verified by scope), but the pain continues. We have eliminated foods that he was found to be allergic to (tomatos, pineapple, eggs, dairy, coconut) and then followed up with a gluten free diet as well, per chance there was an intolerance. He has been on a GFCF and allergy-free diet for over nine months and we has seen no difference in his discomfort. What we HAVE seen is weight loss. He has lost six pounds in teh past nine months or so and now weighs less than 50lbs for his 54" frame. His occupational therapist that he has been working with for two years is beginning to notice muscle tone impact due to this weight loss. He is the healthest eater in the family and routinely eats fruits and vegitables with meals and as snacks. He also eats a reasonable amount of meat. This is a child who can easily eat three tacos with a side of fruit for lunch (all GFCF). So, we decided that since the gluten free diet has not improved anything and his weight loss was of great concern, we would begin to slowly add gluten back to his diet. We are only one week into this challege. His abdominal discomfort has been the same this week, with some gluten in his diet, as it was on the diet, but he is constantly hungery. He will finish a meal, eating more than I did, and then be "starving" a half hour later. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? He isn't asking for gluten foods, he just wants food! Is this a negitive reaction to adding gluten back to his diet, or, in his case, has this turned something back 'on' in his body so that he will be able to gain some of the weight back? I really need to understand this from a scientific point of view, how the gluetin may be reacting in his body. Thanks GMB P.S. The ulcer was found in the stomach, not the colon. The colonoscopy showed the lining to be "lumpy" but otherwise free of signs of inflamation or ulcers. Update from the Dr: Has has gotton a diagnosis of Lymphcytic Colitis...an elevated amount of white blood cells in the colon wall causing inflamation that cannot be seen by visual examination. I don't know if this can cause the weight loss we have seen?
