Can someone who needs a gluten free diet also be on a macrobiotic diet?
I have also been diagnosted with diabetes but I am not on meds cause I wanted to exercise & diet instead. My mother & grandmother died from breast cancer & I thing in 2012 we live differently & I want to eat organic, small balanced healthy meals but I don't know about the grains. What can I do to get enough fiber, keep the sugar low & be gluten free, whew, is this possible. Thank you.

what is the best diet to heal type 2 diabetes?
please give me a daily example if possible. Please let me know how you know this is the best diet. Have you experienced it? studied it? how do you know? I was thinking that a diabetic could heal on 3 meals a day with 2 snacks. each meal a protein the size of a deck of cards with 2 carbs each snack has to be 15 carbs or less. each meal is supposed to be less than 45 carbs. I was never able to really do this diet. I did get into a habit of having an Atkins low-carb drink each morning. I have stopped eating meat lately & feel better. I believe I have celiac disease, allergies or food intolerences such as to wheat, corn, etc. also lactose intolerant. I also stopped eating apples which I ate every day & felt better not eaching them. One day I went back & ate an apple & became so sick it was like someone poisened me so I have only recently started eating organic apples no peanut butter which is what I used to eat with the apple before. I don't know where to begin. I thought about going on a macrobiotic diet but rice seems like a lot of carbs for a diabetic. I do not have health insurance. I got sick, lost my job, lost my health ins. then couldn't afford it. So I am on no meds. I do believe with the right diet, mindset & exercise I can heal but I do need good info.Thank you. Trying to go macrobiotic but got a sweet tooth..?
I'm very interested in the macrobiotic diet and I'm trying to do it. I pretty much already am, but after dinner, I don't feel like I'm fully satisfied until I have something sweet. Now, I've been munching on these almond cookie things, they're vegan, gluten-free, low sugar etc. but not macro. I also find myself craving chocolate... because I'm a chocoholic. haha So, my question is does anyone know how to get over my sweet tooth? Has anyone been on a macrobiotic diet and do cravings go away after a while like I've heard? Is there any good macro recipes that will help combat my sweet tooth? Thank you :)
