Eating about 700-800 calories a day?
I know everyone says that it's bad to consume such a minimal amount of calories a day, but how harmful is it really? I've been eating about 700-800 calories a day (I usually round up to that number anyways) for the past two weeks and it's working out extremely well for me. I really wanted to lose twenty pounds, and I'm finding myself on average losing a pound a day! I'm not hungry either, because I space out my meals three hours apart. I usually wake up, have a banana, three hours later some low fat yogurt, three hours later an apple, three hours later one of my mom's medifast meals, and then three hours later a small bowl of go lean crunch cereal with skim milk. It honestly doesn't feel like I'm starving myself at all because I'm eating so frequently, and since I don't really exercise much at all I don't see how my body would really need all those extra calories. I have noticed though that over time this slows down my metabolism a bit so I choose one day a week to binge out on whatever I want. I usually gain two pounds from this but by the next day it's usually gone and I'm losing weight again. If I do this like two weeks longer just to get to 115 pounds is that too bad? I'm sixteen, a female, and 5'5, and right now I weigh 125 pounds, so it's not like I'm trying to get below my healthy bmi or anything. Opinions? Oh, and when I get to 115 I plan to gradually increase the amount I eat back to about 1,600 calories to maintain my weight, but eat a lot healthier and change the way I used to look at food. I used to be on my mom's medifast diet but I found myself getting extremely weak and cold all the time, which I assumed was possibly anemia so I decided this worked better for me seeing that I'm feeling a lot better. Occassionally I'll still get weak and cold but it's nothing like it was. Right now I feel fine.

I can't seem to resist cravings and my diet makes me nauseous?
First of all, i'm not pregnant, i took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came up negative. Second, i am on the Medifast diet, i've lost close to 60 pounds on this diet. But i took about a two month break, i didn't gain any weight, but i did gain some horrible eating habits. Anyways, i'm trying to lose 40 more pounds, and decided to pick back up on my diet. But, as soon as i wake up, i have to take these vitamins that the program provides, and that usually makes me really nauseous, swallowing pills with lukewarm water and morning breath...yuck! Then i have to eat one of the meals right after, and they just don't settle very well with me. i have to eat one of the meals (usually snack bars or shakes) every 2 hours throughout the day. The entire day, i feel nauseous and almost feverish. Then, i'll see something that looks good, like apple pie, or jelly beans, or chocolate and can't seem to resist it, and after i eat it i feel less nauseous, but i feel bad about the calories i just digested...please help :(

Know anything about Medifast?
I want to try the Medifast diet, but I have some questions. 1.) How is the food? I've heard it's not very good, but that's only one person's opinion. 2.) Do I have to religiously stick to the plan? I understand that to lose weight you have to stick to it. But say I'm on this diet for 8 months... do I have to avoid eating out at a restaurant the whole time? Or can I go out two or three times, eating relatively healthy, but going off the plan? How will that effect my results? 3.) Sometimes, I just need something to keep my mouth busy. Are gum and hard candies (i.e. Life Savers, Worthers, Cream Savers) off limits? 4.) How are the long term results? Is it difficult to keep the weight off after finishing the program?
