About Ornish Diet
How do I stay motivated on a new diet?I'm 24 and have really let myself go since high school. I am extremely over weight, and finally with the encouragement of my doctor, I have decided to begin dieting and exercising. My doctor has recommended the Ornish diet (not sure if anyone has heard of it), and I'm really excited to begin. Since this is my first diet, I'm really afraid of failing, and going back to my old ways. Does anyone have any good tips to help me stay motivated and make sure I don't sabotage myself?

What is the best way to begin a long term diet?
I am very overweight and my doctor has told me to start on the Ornish diet. As pathetic as this sounds, I've never been on a diet before and I'm not sure how to start it. Do I just jump right in, or do it slowly? How much weight should I expect to lose at first? This might sound very stupid, but I want to make sure not to sabotage myself. Please give me the best advice you can.

Dean Ornish diet approved snacks?
My nook just broke, so I won't be reading the books until I get it fixed...I need ideas of easy snacks to fix for work and to eat at home that are consider "Dean Ornish Diet" approved. I have already thought of hummus/pita and veggies, but does anyone else follow the diet enough that they have good snack ideas that are low fat, low sugar and vegetarian? THANKS!!!
