About Stillman Diet

Maintaining weight whilst toning?
Hi guys, I have been on the Stillman diet now for 3 weeks (involving a low fat, low carb, high protein regime - plus my own additions of around 1000 calories a day and a gym workout almost everyday) - its been going really well and I am almost down to the weight I once was and have been dying to get back to! However, I still look a lot bigger and more chubby now than I did then at the same weight, simply because I had more muscle and was a lot more toned back then. How do I go about maintaining the weight I'm at now, whilst still replacing fat with muscle? I don't want to be ripped or anything, just toned. I am 19 years old, 5ft 3in and currently 120 lbs

How can I lose 20 pounds a month for 6 months?
I'm 17/f. I'm 5'8" and 240 pounds. I finally stopped taking steroids for asthma so I need to lose weight quickly as possible. That 2 pounds a week crap is too slow. So don't give me all that "it's not healthy, you'll probably gain it back" lines. I was reading about the Stillman diet. Does it work? I don't care if it's unhealthy. Thanks.

The Stillman diet (no veggies diet) question. I'm 16/f?
I was reading about the Stillman diet (the article about it is below). I'm 16/f but I need to lose weight for some surgeries. I was on steroids for asthma so that's what put my weight on (all in all I'm not a big eater and I can't stand the taste of fast/junk food). I've tried dieting. I lost abotu 60 pounds a few years ago and I've tried again now but it's not working. I can't really exercise because I have arthritus from a car wreck (which is why I'm going for surgery). I don't like taking pain pills. Anyway, has anyone ever lost any weight on the Stillman diet or tried it? Please help. Thanks. "The basic Stillman high-protein diet prescribes unlimited amounts of lean meat, poultry, and sea food, plus eggs and low-fat cheese, preferably consumed in small meals six times a day. No bread, vegetables, fruit, alcohol, or sugar are allowed. You must drink eight glasses of water a day, in order to wash away the ketones, or "ashes left in the furnace," and you can drink as much coffee, tea, and diet soda as you want. Vitamin supplements are required." I've tried eating healthy and stuff. I do that already. I don't drink soda, don't eat chips, don't eat out, ect. It doesn't work. I wouldn't look to a diet with just meat, water and eggs basically if eating healthy worked. Hannibal, I don't want to do it forever. Just until I lose the weight. I've tried vegan diet. I felt horrible and depleted and always tired and hungry and I lost no weight. I did it for 3 months. Also because ofthe ketosis, you're supposed to drink a lot of water to flush it out of your system. And vitamins will keep up what you're missing. Also I can't get the surgery until I lose weight so I'd rather be a little unhealthy for a few months than unhealthy for the rest of my life. I have arthritus. All I can do for weight loss is diet. I did do the vegan diet right. I went to several professionals at different companies. It just didn't work for me. Also herbal supplements does absolutely zip for asthma. I know the Stillman diet is temporary. I only plan to do it temporarily. After the surgery and weight loss, I won't have to lose weight so I can just go back to eating normal. It would take me a very long time to get my surgery at 2 pounds a week. One of my surgeries is on my collarbone and my doctors want to do it while I'm young because as you get older, your collarbone hardens. So the longer I wait, there's no point and I will have limited movement in my arm for the rest of my life. So like I said, I would rather be unhealthy for a few months than be in pain my whole life.

Baby boomers only please: what were you doing when Pres. Ford was in office?
I was just out of high school, working in a department store in a big mall. Gas was about 79 cents a gallon. The Exorcist was the big movie at the theatres. Everyone was on the Stillman diet. Anyone remember 1975? Jeez I'm old.......
